Gauteng Golden Fairway Route ("we", "us") operates a mobile-first platform connecting golfers with caddies, leagues, accommodation, tours and brand sales opportunities in South Africa. We are the responsible party for personal information processed on the platform under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Account information: name, email address, role (caddie, golfer, brand or club), language preference, handicap or company name, and profile photo where you provide one.

Service information: bookings, caddie offers, league rounds and scorecards, travel and accommodation bookings, sales leads, job applications and messages sent through the platform.

Payment information: wallet balances, top-ups, escrow holds, payouts and transaction history. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers and are never stored on our servers.

Location information: the city, province and golf venue you select, and approximate device location where you grant permission, used only to match you with nearby caddies, venues, stays and brand opportunities.

Verification documents: identity, right-to-work or club accreditation documents you upload. These are stored in private storage accessible only to you and platform administrators.

Technical information: device and browser type, IP address, error reports and usage events used for security, uptime and troubleshooting.

To create and secure your account and show the dashboard for your role.

To match golfers with caddies, calculate competency tiers, process offers and hold funds in escrow until a booking completes.

To operate leagues fairly, including marker attestation, server-side score calculation and anomaly review.

To process bookings for stays, tours and packages and to pay caddies, hosts and partners.

To provide AI features (caddie strategy, tourism planning, league coaching and the code lab). Prompts are sent to our AI provider for processing and are not used to train third-party models.

To send transactional messages such as booking confirmations, offer notifications and payout updates.

To detect fraud, cheating and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

Caddies see the golfer's name, venue, date and round details for offers sent to them. Golfers see a caddie's profile, tier, experience and professional references.

Brands see applications and lead activity from caddies who choose to represent them.

We share data with service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments, send email and provide AI inference, each bound to process data only on our instructions.

We do not sell personal information.

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required by South African financial and tax law.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Database access is protected by row-level security so users can only read records they are entitled to. Verification documents sit in a private bucket with signed, time-limited access.

You may access, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, withdraw consent for location or marketing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

To request account deletion, email makhalema.se@gmail.com from your registered address. We delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except records we must retain by law.

The platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. Junior caddies or players may only participate through a verified club account with guardian consent.

We will post material changes to this policy on this page and notify active users in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
